The Honor’s Scholars Program hosted the Venue last night. This semester’s Venue represented Shakespearean England.

The main section of the house featured artwork pertaining to Shakespeare’s life and works along with facts about the pieces. Books of the bard’s work sat throughout the space for guests to read and recite.

A documentary about Shakespeare’s life played in the living room while a separate presentation of Elizabethan fashion and concepts of beauty was displayed on the patio. The patio also featured live banjo music.

Music filled the space while guests ate a variety of cheeses, crackers and traditional shortbread cookies dipped in chocolate.

Vanilla Caramel Cider, Cranberry water and tea were also provided.

The classroom featured a Sonnet reading contest and a dance lesson of a classic ballroom dance of the era.
