Caitlyn Logan is a freshman on the John Brown University soccer team. Logan made her college debut as goal keeper in the last 45 minutes of the first season women’s soccer game against Mid America Nazarene.

A native of Charlotte, NC, Logan played soccer for her high school before coming to JBU to major in nursing.

“I chose John Brown because of the atmosphere throughout the school and team,” Logan said. “It is so evident that the team loves the Lord and each other so well.”

Logan especially felt like she bonded with her team on their annual team retreat.

“Our preseason trip to Colorado was so fun, and it allowed for the team to really connect with each other,” she said.

While in Colorado, the players hiked, explored, and scrimmaged against Colorado School of Mines and Colorado Christian University.

As the team has advanced through the season, Logan said that relationships are growing between players.

Her teammates have seen some admirable qualities in Caitlyn.

“Caitlyn is a great teammate,” Anne Metz, junior, said. “She is easy to talk to, kind and encouraging.”

“Caitlyn has such a sweet heart,” Anna Brown, junior, said. “She brings so much joy to the team and is a great team player.”

Head coach Kathleen Paulson agreed.

“It’s been fun to have Caitlyn as part of our team and program. She brings a great presence to our program and we are thankful to have her here.”
