Feed children via text messaging

Loading

Have you ever gone a whole day without eating? Two days? What about a whole month? I highly doubt you have – and if you have, come talk to me, because that’s impressive. Believe it or not, there are children in this world that could possibly suffer an entire month while barely eating anything.

Well, we want to help bring this to an end. We are partnering with FeedONE, a brother organization to Convoy of Hope, to help make a small difference in this huge world crisis.

Convoy of Hope is a faith-based organization with a driving passion to feed the world through children’s feeding initiatives, community outreaches, disaster response and partner resourcing. The organization is based out of Kansas City, Missouri and serves more than 55 million people.

Convoy of Hope was founded in 1994 and, through FeedONE, is seeking to educate people in how to end world hunger with a simple text message. How easy is that?!

You have no excuse now; texting is right up your alley. One text message allows you to donate $10, which feeds one child for an entire month! You can also do some crazy stuff like donate your Facebook and/or Twitter profile picture and connect via other means of social media such as Instagram.

Want the chance to make the difference in a child’s life that possibly be the determiner between life and death? Well, we are going to give you that opportunity.

Next week, Nov. 20-22, come visit us at a table in Walker Student Center. We will have information, food, t-shirts and opportunities such as donating, volunteering and even internships if you’re interested. Oh, and did I mention food? Because there will be food. Come check it out. Help end world hunger!
