Throughout history and across cultures, women have demonstrated an unparalleled strength, resilience and spirit that has moved societies forward. From leading revolutions, to breaking long standing barriers to success, women have surpassed expectations and challenges to secure a rightful place in shaping the world.

In the role of leadership, women like Marie Curie, Malala Yousafzai and Ruth Bader Ginsburg have left unforgettable achievements. Curie was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, forever changing the world of science. Malala survived an assassination attempt that led her to become the youngest Nobel Prize winner for her bravery in advocating for girls’ education. And Ginsburg’s lifelong fight for gender equality shaped the legal landscape of the U.S.

Women have shone in fields dominated by men. Amelia Earhart pioneered aviation for women, Katherine Johnson was a mathematical genius that helped put man on the moon, and Serena Williams smashed records and racial barriers in tennis. Women have shown grit and passion, paving the way for future generations.

But beyond all these headlines, the true strength of a woman is shown in our homes and communities. All of the moms over the world, whether stay at home or working moms, single moms, or married moms have shaped our whole generation, feeding us, protecting us and loving us. Countless women nurture families, build a small business and serve as pillars of the local environment. Their quiet acts of service and perseverance knit together the fabric of humanity. They have marched in solidarity, supported one another, and lifted each other’s voices to make a worldwide change. So, to all women who are survivors, leaders and visionaries, who mother souls and nurture dreams; the world celebrates you. Thank you for the eternal sacrifice, unconditional love and grace. To the daughters, sisters, aunts and grandmothers, thank you for embodying resilience. We have earned the right to be heard, to lead and soar. And as King David wrote in Psalms 46:5, “God is with her, she will not fall, God will help her at break of day.”
