Friends, Family, Faculty, and fans filled the lobby of Bill George Arena on Tuesday morning to send off the men’s basketball team before they left for the national tournament in Kansas City. On a chilly morning about 40 people showed up in the Arena for breakfast and to talk to the players. President Pollard and Vice President of Student Development Steve Beers gave speeches and prayed for the team before fans lined up to send them off as they loaded onto their bus. The Eagles will now head to Kansas City where they will participate in tournament events and banquets before opening the national tournament against Life (Ga.) on Thursday at 12:30.
