Rugby falls just short of historic win

The Golden Eagles rugby club capped a successful first half of the fall season by almost making history.


In their annual Alumni Game, the Golden Eagles fell to the Silver Eagles by a try, 38-33.

This Homecoming, a John Brown University legend from a near forgotten era returned.

Former Major Leaguer Wally Moon, who coached John Brown’s baseball team from 1966 to 1977, returned to campus and signed his memoir, “Moon Shots”.

Cross Country wins in Clarksville

At the Ozarks Invitational in Clarksville, Ark. on Saturday, the Golden Eagles men’s and women’s teams placed first and second, respectively.

The win by the men’s team was the first team win for the cross country program.

The men dominated in a 29-point effort in the 8K.
